Description: Children with autism and other autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs) may certainly benefit from behavioral modification and structured education. Many children also benefit greatly from the correction of gastrointestinal problems, heavy metal overload, brain inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies that are common in these children. Chronic digestive disturbances include everything from bloating and indigestion to constipation and gall bladder dysfunction. By identifying the causes of these disorders, you can then develop a treatment regimen that addresses all the key components of the problem, and that ultimately restores the gut to a harmonious state. Date: Tuesday, December 7 - 7:00PM - 8:00PM
Location: Carolina Ctr for Integrative Medicine
Description: Toxic chemicals and heavy metals saturate the environment in which we live, and there is no way to avoid them completely. For example, PCB's have been found in the tissues of every kind of living creature on earth and automobile exhaust contains mercury, benzene, and carbon monoxide. Much of the body’s toxic burden is also related to toxins generated from within, as a result of gut infections and other factors. Several organs—notably the colon and liver—participate in detoxification processes that are essential to your health and vitality. Without proper detoxification, your health usually shows a steady decline. During this presentation, you will discover methods to increase the functioning of the colon, liver, and other detox organs in order to further reduce your body’s burden of toxins and improve cellular efficiency. We will explore the cleansing benefits of targeted nutritional and herbal products, chelation therapy, and colon hydrotherapy, and how combinations of these strategies can yield the best results.
